Way Out West (1937) and Hog Wild (1930)

Toronto Film Society presents Way Out West (1937) plus their short Hog Wild (1930) at the Paradise Theatre on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2:30 p.m.

If there’s anything better to do on a Sunday afternoon then spending an afternoon with Laurel & Hardy, we can’t think of it. Join TFS for a full programme of Stan & Ollie at their best, in their classic 1937 feature Way Out West preceded by 1930’s short film Hog Wild.

Curated and introduced by Toronto Silent Film Festival Comedy Programmer Chris Seguin, the show also presents some bonus Laurel & Hardy rarities including something never before shown on the big screen.

In what’s arguably their best loved and funniest film, Stan & Ollie venture into the wild west to deliver the deed to a goldmine to its rightful heiress — only to be duped by her guardian, dastardly Mickey Finn [James (“Doh!”) Finlayson]. But between the treachery there’s always time for a little song and dance.

There will also be some wonderful door prizes, including a Blu-Ray of Oppenheimer!
