Hitchcock Double Feature: November 29

Notorious is one of Alfred Hitchcock’s most celebrated romantic thrillers, blending espionage, romance, and suspense into a story filled with tension and uncertainty. Starring Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman, the film follows Alicia Huberman, the daughter of a convicted German spy, who is recruited by American intelligence to investigate a group of suspected Nazi agents in postwar Rio de Janeiro. Notorious remains one of the defining films of Hitchcock’s career. Don’t miss this chance to experience it on the big screen!

To Catch a Thief is another entertaining thriller full of mystery from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. It’s known for being one of his more visually stunning films, shot largely on location in the French Riviera – a must-see on the big screen! The film stars Cary Grant as “The Cat” a retired jewel thief whose life gets upended when he’s put under suspicion for a series of heists that have taken place in France. To try to clear his name, he goes on an adventure to catch the thief himself, and, in the process, becomes entangled with an American heiress, played by Grace Kelly. To Catch a Thief is a perfect showcase of Hitchcock’s ability to turn romance into suspense, and remains a Hollywood classic over 70 years later.
