Storyline An exciting jewel of a film about the ingenious theft of a jewel-encrusted dagger from the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul. The big heist scene may strike some as a more elaborate reshooting of the classic scene in Rififi (1955), and they’ll be right. Both are the work of ace director Jules Dassin, and he’s assembled a flawless cast of charming rogues and charlatans. Shot on location. |
